Tuesday accidents injure several
Several people were injured in accidents in the area Tuesday.
Two people were seriously injured in an accident in Washington County Tuesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Scott S. Couch, 21, of Belgrade, and Wendy C. Halter, 21, of Bismarck, were both taken by helicopter to Barnes Hospital.
Reports indicate Couch was driving on Highway 32 near Carr Road when the 1997 Dodge Neon traveled off the road and overturned.
Couch was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Halter was wearing a seat belt, but was also seriously injured. The accident was reported just after 8 a.m.
A Farmington teen was injured in accident Tuesday night.
According to the Patrol, Alexandra S. Ring, 18, received minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center.
Reports indicate Ring was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry on Hildebrecht Road near U.S. 67 when the vehicle traveled off the road, struck a concrete culvert and overturned. She was wearing a seat belt.
The accident was reported at 7:41 p.m.
A Bismarck man was seriously injured in an accident on Route BB at Old Irondale Road Tuesday night.
According to the Patrol, David H. Hilgendorf, 43, was taken by Air Evac to Barnes Hospital.
Reports indicate he was driving a 1998 Plymouth Voyager which traveled off the road, struck a drain culvert, and overturned several times. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident was reported at 7:45 p.m.
One person was injured in an accident on Route Y near Hillsboro Road.
According to the Patrol, Wendy G. Meyer, 29, of Pevely, received minor injuries and was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Reports indicate Meyer was driving a 1996 Chrysler Town and Country when she failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the centerline and struck a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Bradley W. Reichel, 23, of De Soto. Meyer’s vehicle then ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
The accident was reported at 9:30 p.m.
