On Sept. 26 the St. Francois County Rotary Club will be holding its annual charity auction to benefit the Veterans Relief Fund. The event will take place at the Farmington VFW Hall beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin after dinner at 7 p.m. All auction items have been generously donated by local businesses.

There will be over 75 auction items including:

• Blues hockey tickets with a luxurious nights stay at the Westin provided by KFMO;

• A beautiful 5×8 Area Rug by Carpet One;

• An Empire Vented Gas Fire Log set by Missouri Natural Gas;

• A Spinal Adjustment and Therapy package from Bauer Chiropractic;

• A Level 3 Detail Package from Redfield Collision Center.

Admission to the event is $15 for a single ticket, $25 for two.

“The St. Francis Rotary Club is very grateful to all the local businesses that have donated auction items” said Chuck Sevick, Rotary Club President “ but in order for this event to be truly successful, we need attendance at the auction from members of our community, we would like to invite everyone to come and bid on these exciting items while supporting a great cause”.

The Veterans Relief Fund provides immediate, direct financial assistance to Disabled Veterans and to help with the financial distress put on the families of soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their Country.

“I am honored to participate in a project that will have a direct impact on local families that have made great sacrifices for our Nation” said Phil Brockland, Rotary Club treasurer. “I hope that the dollars raised will be able to provide at least some small measure of relief.”
