Two women hurt after vehicles collide head-on

Two women received minor injuries Thursday when their vehicles collided head-on while on Old Bonne Terre Road, .8 mile north of Business 67 in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Shelly R. Odgers, 43, of Dixon, was northbound in a 2006 Ford Taurus at 1:55 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The Ford crossed the center line and struck a 2003 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Phylis R. Rodgers, 59, of Cannon City, Co.

Both women were taken by ambulance to Mineral Area Regional Health Center. Each had been wearing a seat belt.

Damage to each vehicle was listed as moderate.
