Virginia Kennon

PARK HILLS — Virginia L.Kennon, 91, passed away October 6, 2009 at Country Meadows. Virginia  Kennon was born September 23, 1918 at Esther, Mo.

Preceded in death by parents, Clint Bone and Mary ‘Newcomb’ Bone; loving husband of 50 years, William Kennon, three brothers and two sisters.

Survived by three sons, Larry Kennon of Farmington, Lindell Kennon and wife Rose of Farmington, Ronald Kennon and wife Barbara of Irondale; two daughters, Mary LuKachick and husband Paul of Park Hills, Deborah Goodson and husband James of Farmington; daughter-in-law, Sandra Kennon of Farmington; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.

She was owner and operator of Beauty Shop in Esther for many years; member of Esther Baptist Church; lifelong member and past Worthy Matron of Epsilon Chapter 234 O.E.S; member of Royal Neighbors. After she and Bill retired, she worked for the Army Core of Engineers for Parks and Recreation.

Visitation will be at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Thursday. Services for Virginia L. Kennon will be at 10 a.m., Friday at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Jones. Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
