Knightettes host golf districts

The Farmington Girls Golf team hosted the 2009 Class 2 Girls Golf Districts at Crowne Pointe Golf Club on Oct. 5

Farmington and 10 other teams from the surrounding region participated in the 18-hole one day event to determine the state qualifiers who will be traveling to Fremont  Hills Country Club in Nixa, Mo., later this month to play for the state championship of their Class.

Team results ended as such:

1. Ursuline Academy 332;  

2. Nerinx Hall 362;  

3. Cor Jesu Academy 376;  

4. Farmington 386;  

5. Webster Groves 400;  

6. Oakville 413;  

7. Notre Dame (St. Louis) 420;  

8. Lindbergh 430;  

9. Mehlville 436; 

10. Seckman 473;  

11. Fox 517.

Farmington’s freshman Paige Gallagher shot an 86 to medal for the fifth place spot and senior Brittany Ernst shot a 92 to medal for the 10th place slot.  Both qualified for the state championships to be played Oct. 19-20 in Nixa.

Five girls from Farmington participated in the event.
