Ruby LaVerne Campbell

MARBLE HILL — Ruby LaVerne Campbell, 81, of Marble Hill, Mo., passed away at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau October 11, 2009.  Born on July 22, 1928, in Flat River, Mo., she was the daughter of William and Dora Burcham Duncan.  She married Leon Campbell on December 18, 1948, at Patton.  Leon predeceased her on December 14, 2005.

 She was a homemaker and a member of the Point Pleasant Church near Marble Hill.

 She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Green, of Marble Hill, a son, Michael Campbell of Glen Allen, Mo., a foster daughter, Carol Rhodes, of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Delores Forsythe of Farmington, Mo., three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and her step-mother, Anthem Duncan.

 Visitation was Tues, October 13, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.  Funeral services were October 14,at the funeral chapel.  Rev. Gene Robbins officiated with burial at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
