Vehicle strikes rock, overturns

An Ellington woman received moderate injuries Sunday when her 1999 GMC overturned in Iron County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Beth E. Profitt, 58, was southbound on Highway 49 at 2:35 p.m. when her vehicle ran off the right side of the road, returned to the highway and went off the left side of the roadway, three miles south of Highway 32. The vehicle struck a rock and overturned.

Profitt was taken by ambulance to Iron County Hospital. It was unknown whether she was wearing a seat belt. Damage to the GMC was listed as total.
