Opal Myers
PARK HILLS — Opal Irine (Tripp) Myers of Park Hills was born March 7, 1923 in Madison County, Missouri. She passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis being 86 years of age.
Daughter of the late Pinkney Tripp and Ida Pope Tripp. Her Husband Vernon and one son Jerry, and One Grandson, Dale Gunthur also preceded her in death.
Surviving are Two Sons, Vernon (Butch) Myers and wife Barbara of Bonne Terre; Gary Myers and wife Debbie of Farmington; One Daughter, Carol, Mrs. Vick Gray of Bonne Terre; Seven Grandchildren, Diana and Kristy Myers, Scott Gray and wife Diana, Ricky Gray, Ashley, Mrs. Gary Myers, Tara Bryant, Cody Gillette and wife Amy. 11 Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews survive.
Visitation after 5:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Caldwell Funeral Home in Park Hills. Services Thursday, 1 p.m. at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Sidney Laxton officiating. Interment at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery near Bonne Terre.
Opal was a faithful member of the Bethel General Baptist Church in Park Hills. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Bethel General Baptist Church.
