Tax statements going into mail
Washington County Collector Michael P. McGirl has announced the mailing of more than 32,000 personal and real estate property tax statements will be going into the mail Nov. 13.
The Collector’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. It will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 12 for counter payments. The office will also be open Thursday Dec. 31.
Payments may be mailed, but must be postmarked by Dec. 31 to avoid late fees. Payments can be made online at www.mylocalgov.com/mcca .
Those who do not receive a statement should contact the Collector’s office. Correct 911 addresses were not available for all county residents. Not receiving a bill is not a valid reason for nonpayment.
Questions about your assessment should be directed to the Washington County Assessor’s office.
Questions about individual tax levies should be directed to the political entity in question.
