Kiwanis club welcomes new officers

A new slate of officers for the Farmington Kiwanis club was installed at the Oct. 7 meeting. Missouri Kiwanis Lt. Governor Ron Schneider was present to conduct the installation and present several awards.

Sheila Allen was installed as President with Seth Pegram as President Elect. Kraig Sutherland is vice president, Keith Bishop Secretary/Treasurer and Amanda Farrell is Immediate Past President.

Board members include Peggy Ropelle, Justin Dotson, Jeanette Bishop, Mary Ellen Klob, Pat King and Tony Miano.

Among the awards made, Lt. Gov. Schneider presented Keith Bishop with a pin and certificate for his 36 years of perfect attendance.

Allen, in her role of president, reminded members of the need to promote the annual Kiwanis Pancake Day set for Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Masonic Hall. Pancakes with the trimmings will be served from 7a.m. to noon. Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for children under 12 and are available from any Kiwanis member. This is one of three fund-raisers held by the Kiwanis each year to fund their many projects to aid children and the community.

The Kiwanis meet every Wednesday at noon at the Pasta House. Guests are welcomed.
