Alice (Tootie) Neckermann

PARK HILLS — Alice (Tootie) Neckermann, 83, of Park Hills passed away November 28, 2009 at St. Mary’s Rehab Center. Alice was born August 23, 1926 at Flat River.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Edward Schwent and Bertha (Link) Schwent; sister Maxine Hopkins; brother Edward Schwent.

Survived by: Husband, George Neckermann of Park Hills; two sons, Michael Neckermann and wife Terry of Hillsboro; Stanley Neckermann and wife Margaret of St. Louis; grandchildren, Jennifer Eckberg and husband Marc; Timothy Neckermann; Leah Parkin and husband Jeremy; Tara Schellert and husband Greg; Emily Neckermann; five great grandchildren; sister, Laura Dalton and husband Robert of Columbia, Ill.; sister-in-law Rosemarie Schwent of Cape Girardeau; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends also survive.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #5741, delivered meals on wheels to shut-ins for several years.

Visitation will be at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home after 6:30 p.m. Monday. Services for Alice Neckermann will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jim French. Burial will be at the Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. Memorials to St. Vincent DePaul or the American Heart Assoc.
