Holiday Calendar

Everyone is welcome to the Little Vine Church              (Highway E) Christmas Play, at  7 p.m., Saturday, December 5.

The community is invited to the First Presbyterian Church of Fredericktown for the Ninth Annual Christmas in Music Concert, 3 p.m., Sunday, December 6. There will be performances by many talented people of our area. There is no charge and there will be a recpetion following.

The Marquand-Zion School will present its annual Christmas program at 7 p.m., Thursday, December 10, in Tiger Gym. Entitled “An All-American Christmas,” the musical explores the Christmas traditions that came to America many years ago.

According to music director David Stevens, the program will feature musical selections from the entire elementary school as well as the traditional sing-along at the end of the evening. Also a tradition, a visitor from the North Pole is scheduled to appear. “It’s always a fun evening,” Stevens said. “The students have been working hard and are looking forward to this special night.”

The day of the concert will include a contest for students who are dressed in red, white, and blue. The annual Book Fair will be open to the public for parents, students, and guests to browse before the concert. Media Center Director Jackie Thiele says this is a great opportunity for parents and friends to find stocking stuffers and gifts.

There is no admission charge for the concert.

Twin Oaks Free Will Baptist Church will be a Christmas Program, at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 12. The Program is: True Meaning of Christmas; Search for Perfect Christmas; and Pantomime – Mary Did You Know?

The FHS Madrigal Dinner, Saturday, will be December 12 at the FHS Cafeteria. For more information call 783-8161 or 783-8697. The FMS Christmas Concert, will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 13, at the  FMS gymnasium. For information call the same numbers.

There will be a Christmas Program with a children’s puppet show and a play at First Assembly of God Church, at the (6 p.m.) evening service, Sunday, December 20.
