The Madison County Extension Office will be presenting a Sustainable Foods and Small Farm Conference Dec. 12. Attendees will learn tips and tools to help improve or diversify their farms. The keynote topic will be marketing. Other topics will include: Using High and Low Tunnels to Extend the Growing Season, Managing Cattle and Trees through Silvopasture, Earn Profits from Your Woodlot, and Labeling or Salesmanship.
You will have a choice of three of those sessions. The wrap-up session topic will be Sources of Grants or Financing. The conference will be held at Pine Crest Camp in Fredericktown from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
