Two women hurt after vehicles collide head-on

A Bonne Terre woman received moderate injuries and a French Village woman received minor injuries Wednesday when their vehicles struck head-on in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 4:50 p.m. on Hillsboro Road, 1 mile south of Route V. Kim M. Roth, 46, of French Village, was southbound in a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier when a 1998 Honda Accord driven by Ashley N. Harrison, 22, of Bonne Terre, crossed over the center line and hit the Chevrolet head-on.

Harrison was taken by ambulance to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center and Roth was taken by private vehicle to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Neither woman had been wearing a seat belt.

Damage to each vehicle was listed as total.
