Shelby Chilton

DESOTO — Mrs. Shelby J. Chilton, 72, passed away January 6, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City. Shelby was born on December 16, 1937, in Leadington, Missouri, and was the daughter of Clinton E. Bible and Emma Jewell ‘Nichols’ Bible. Also preceding in death was one son, Rodney Eugene Chilton.

Shelby was united in marriage to David E. Chilton, on June 12, 1954, in Farmington.

Survivors Include: her husband, David E. Chilton, of DeSoto. Two daughters, Sheryl Ann Agers, of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Tamara Kay ‘Mrs. Doug’ Johnson, of Ventura, California. Two Sons: Steven Wayne (and Sandra) Chilton, of Festus and Gregory Scott (and Michelle) Chilton, of DeSoto. Three Sisters: Jo Ann Kennon, of Longmont, Colorado; Joyce ‘Mrs. Jim’ Patt, of Witton, Arkansas; Rosalie ‘Mrs. Harold’ Patt, of Ashdown, Arkansas. Also surviving are seven Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation today, 5-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation resumes Friday, 6:30 a.m., and funeral Friday, 1 p.m., January 8, 2010, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, with Brother Bob Thebeau officiating.
