Time nearing for kindergarten registation
The Farmington R-7 School District will hold registration for next year’s kindergarten class during the week of March 1-4 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
To be eligible for kindergarten a child must be five years old before August 1, 2010. All students will enroll at the Truman Kindergarten Center at 209 West College Street.
Children whose last name begins with letters A through M should enroll on Monday or Tuesday, (March 1-2), and children whose last name begins with the letters N through Z should enroll on Wednesday or Thursday, (March 3-4).
Parents or guardians are asked to bring the following: State Birth Certificate, Social Security Card (for record keeping purposes only), Immunization Record, Proof of Residency (Property Tax Statement, Utility Bill, Rental Agreement, Phone Bill) Something that shows current address.
Birth certificates are available locally at St. Francois County Health Center, 1025 West Main Street in Park Hills.
If you cannot register a child on these dates, please call Truman Kindergarten Center at (573) 701-1370, and the secretary will arrange a time for enrollment.
