Vehicle strikes tree, injures woman
A Park Hills woman was seriously injured Saturday when she fell asleep at the wheel of her 1999 Ford Escort and struck a tree in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Stacey M. Fox, 24, was eastbound on Route NN at 6:05 a.m., when she fell asleep, drove off the right side of the road and struck the tree, 1.2 miles east of Indian Creek.
Fox, who had not been wearing a seat belt, was flown by air ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur. Damage to the Escort was listed as total.
