Dorothy Mae Hovis
Dorothy Mae Hovis, 84, of Fredericktown,died April 30, 2010, at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown.
She was born August 1, 1925, in Elvins, Missouri, a daughter of Clarence Albert and Maude Esther (Graham) Hovis.
Her parents and brother, Lindell Hovis and sisters, Marie Graham and Kathleen LaBrot preceded her in death.
She is survived by one brother, Harry Hovis of Fredericktown; and nine nieces and nephews: Lindell Graham, of Perry, Missouri, Thelma Sikes and Mary Henson, of Fredericktown, Robin Schrage, of Festus, Missouri, Terry LaBrot, of California, Judy Lytle, of Panama, Brenda Blankenship, of Texas, Kenneth Hovis, of South Carolina, and Roger Hovis, of Denver, Colorado.
Ms. Hovis worked for Brown Shoe Co. in Fredericktown; she was a faithful member of the Copper Mines Free Will Baptist Church in Fredericktown, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
Services were held May 2, 2010, at Wilson Funeral Home, with Brother Richard Sikes officiating. Burial was at the Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.
