Three Cats qualify for state track meet

Fredericktown track athletes competed in the Class 3A Sectional Track Meet, May 22, in Farmington.

Coach Ford says “We went with 3 athletes in 3 events with intentions of finishing in the top 4 and qualifying for the State track meet in Jefferson City.

“We did not perform as good as we have but did qualify all 3 people in all 3 events. Hopefully we can perform better at Jefferson City and come away with some All-Staters.”

Listed below are the qualifiers and their times/distances and places:

800M- Luke Cureton 2:02.17 3rd place.

Shot Put- Gavin Krueger 47’8” 2nd place, Miriah Korokis 38’10-1/2” 2nd place.

Discus- Miriah Korokis 105’7” 3rd place.
