Man indicted on federal child porn charges
The United States Attorney’s Office announced that Arthur Damon, 27, Fenton, was indicted on one count each of receipt and possession of child pornography.
The indictment alleges Damon received graphic image files containing child pornography between Nov. 1, 2008, and April 23, 2009, and that he possessed images between Oct. 7, 2008 and April 23, 2009.
If convicted, receipt of child pornography carries a penalty range of five to 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000; possession of child pornography carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.
This case was investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Rob Livergood is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations, and each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
