Vivian Janice (Rogers) Durbin

Vivian Janice (Rogers) Durbin, 77, of Mine La Motte, Missouri died July 23, 2010 at SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri.

She was born July 15, 1933 at Mine La Motte, the daughter of Lloyd Glenwood and Blanche Elizabeth (Scott) Rogers.

On December 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to Elmer Lloyd Durbin at Mine La Motte.

Mrs. Durbin was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Durbin Standley.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer Lloyd Durbin of Mine La Motte, Missouri; one son, Roger Durbin of Farmington, Missouri; one brother, James Rogers of Mine La Motte; and one sister, Phyllis Berry of Bonne Terre, Missouri.

She had five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Durbin was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Fredericktown.

She enjoyed singing, playing piano, teaching piano and being a minister’s wife.

Services were held July 27, 2010 at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Fredericktown with the Reverend Benjamin Durbin and the Reverend Rick Pirtle officiating. Burial was at Mine La Motte Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: James Rogers, Micah Inman, Seth Durbin, Issac Standley, Robert Warner and Wayne Warner.
