Two Farmington residents were injured Monday when their 2000 Pontiac ran off the road and struck a culvert in Madison County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Kendra M. Schrum, 19, was westbound on Highway 72 at 7:50 a.m. when the accident occurred, two miles east of Fredericktown.
Schrum, who had been wearing a seat belt, received minor injuries. Her passenger, Mark D. Schrum, 21, who had not been wearing a seat belt, received moderate injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.
Damage to the Pontiac was listed as extensive.
A St. Mary’s woman received minor injuries Monday when her 2008 Chevrolet Impala overturned on Route NN in Ste. Genevieve County.
According to the Highway Patrol, Beverly G. Rayoum, 44, was eastbound at 5:50 a.m. when she swerved to avoid a deer in the road. The Impala went off the north side of the road and overturned, .9 mile east of Route N.
Rayoum, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital.
Damage to the vehicle was listed as total.
