Deborah Wagner

PARK HILLS — Deborah Lea Wagner of Park Hills passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center,  at the age of 56 years.  She was born on May 26, 1954, at Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of Albert C. and Barbara J. (Blankenship) Garrels.

Deb was a member of the First Baptist Church of Park Hills.

She was a loving wife, mother and daughter and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, which include her husband of 39 years, Ralph E. Wagner of Park Hills, two daughters, Angela R. and husband Jay Maiato and their three children, Bailey, A.J., and Jacob, all of Sandwich, MA, and Erica L. Wagner and her two children, Bryley and Kemee, all of Iowa City, IA; her parents, Albert C. and Barbara J. Garrels of Houston, TX; a sister,  Sandra D. and husband Roland VonThun of Clinton, IA, and two brothers, Stephen C. Garrels and his children, Stephanie and Joshua Garrels of Magnolia, TX, and Todd D. Garrels and his three children, Elizabeth, Zachary, and Samantha Garrels, of Montgomery, TX. She is also survived by many aunts,  uncles,  cousins, and other relatives.

There will be no local services, but a memorial service will be held at a later date in Deb’s hometown of Clinton, IA. Per Deb’s request, her body has been gifted to the Life Legacy Foundation, so that others may benefit from Deb’s life long illness. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the Life Legacy Foundation, 6825 E. Outlook Dr. Tucson, AZ 85706.
