Hunters win opener

STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve Hunters started their season on Tuesday with a 25-14, 25-15 win over the Crystal City Lady Hornets. The Hunters were most comfortable with Laura Rhodes at the service line. Rhodes served nearly a fourth of the team’s points with 12 points on serve. Kristen Faulkner was next with eight points.

Elle Korenak made eight kills, Faulkner had five and Rhodes finished with four.

The Hunters will play next on Friday against Perryville at the Cape Notre Dame Tournament.
