Forum educates people about new health care law
Business owners and other members of the community who want to know how the federal health care reform will affect them are invited to a forum Sept. 13 at Mineral Area College.
The St. Francois County Community Partnership is holding the community forum to educate people about the details of the new federal health care legislation.
At 9 a.m. in the North College Center, Missouri Foundation for Health Policy Analyst Thomas McAuliffe will discuss what is in the health care reform law and its impact on individuals, families, and businesses in Missouri. At 10 a.m., McAuliffe will answer questions for a half hour.
McAuliffe has served as the government relations associate for United Way of Greater St. Louis. He has a master’s degree in political science from Purdue University, and currently is pursuing his doctorate in public administration and political science. He also has served as a lecturer at Webster University in St. Louis.
