Hunter education classes

Three Hunter Education classes have been scheduled for Washington County. The class is required for anyone purchasing a firearms hunting permit and who was born on or after Jan. 1, 1967. The classes are free. You must be at least 11 years old and provide a birth certificate and Social Security card. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The first class will be held Sept. 21, 22 and 23 at the Potosi VFW Hall on Veterans Drive from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

The second class will be held Oct. 15 and 16 at Potosi High School The class will run from 5-9 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. until completed on Saturday.

The third class will be held at the Potosi VFW Hall from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 26, 27, and 28.

Online registration is required for the classes. To register go to www.missouriconservation.org.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the map of Missouri and click on St. Louis region. On the left side of the screen, click on Hunter education and scroll down to the Washington County class you wish to take and click on ‘enroll online for this class.’
