James Thomas Martin
DESLOGE — James Thomas Martin, 88, of Desloge, formerly of Bonne Terre, passed away September 12, 2010, at NHC HealthCare in Desloge. He was born June 17, 1922 in Irondale, Missouri.
He served in the United States Army in four campaigns during WW II; was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter #12.
James was preceded by his parents, Guy Thomas and Birdie (Henderson) Martin; brothers and sisters, Bill Martin, Arthur Eugene Martin, Glenda Spradling, Pearl Foree, Gladys Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Donna R. (Asbridge) Martin of Desloge; daughter, Pearl Marie Martin of St. Louis; step-daughters, Cherri Ann Downs (Robert) of Park Hills, Susan Lynn Watson (Robert) of Farmington; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, , Dorothy Blevins of Marble Hill, Cora Zimmerman of Rolla,; brothers, Robert Martin (Faye) of Hopewell, Melvin Martin (Diana) of Mineral Point, Carl Clayton (Linda) of Glen Carbon, Ill..
Visitation will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Bro. James Latham. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
