Lady Raiders shut out Arcadia Valley
ARCADIA — The North County Lady Raiders picked up their third tennis win of the year with a 9-0 shut-out of the Arcadia Valley Lady Tigers on Thursday.
The Lady Raiders won five of the nine matches by shut-out.
Brittany Ford and Alyssa Yates won the No. 2 doubles over Jessica Weiss and Dierdra Renfroe, 8-0. Shelby Mund and Miranda Maeys combined for an 8-2 win over Rachel Reynolds and Janie Buck at No. 1, and Alex Perry and Amber Poindexter won No. 3 doubles by the same score over Renee Reynolds and Lea Sasser.
In singles, it was Mund over Rachel Reynolds 8-0 at No. 1, Maeys over Buck 8-0 at No. 2, Ford over Renfroe 8-0 at No. 4 and Yates over Kennedy Hartwig 8-0 at No. 5. Perry beat Weiss by a score of 8-1 at No. 3, and Courtney Bates won the most games in singles for Arcadia Valley before falling 8-2 to Leighanna Hulsey in No. 6 singles.
Arcadia Valley will be at home on Tuesday to face Potosi for their next meet. North County (3-2) will travel to Potosi on Wednesday for their next match.
