Cub-Arama 2010
Farmall Family Fun Begins This Weekend!
The time has finally arrived. JP’s 9th Midwest Cub-Arama Tractor Show is scheduled to kick off tomorrow morning (Thursday) in Jaycee and Wanda Priest parks in downtown Fredericktown. (However as you drive around town today, you may notice many trailers full of RED TRACTORS already proudly entering our town).
We are expecting another terrific turnout, we should see around 300 displays!
Everyone is encouraged to come down to Jaycee Park this weekend to check out the variety of International Harvester that will be on display. Even if you do not own a tractor there is something for everyone. There is NO ADMISSION FEE to come check out some American history and look around. It is not to late to show off your tractor. You will need to register to display your items or to bring your extra IH items into the swap meet, but may do so at the main pavilion when you arrive.
Set up will begin on Thursday, September 23. The show opens at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24 and again on Saturday, September 25 and runs until around 5:00 p.m. both days .
The show will again feature all the different model Cub and Cub Cadet tractors and implements produced as well as all the other IH items manufactured over the years as we open the show to all IH items. This will include tractors, trucks, scouts, implements, refrigerators, toys, and much more. We will have plenty to do and see.
Fun for the Entire Family awaits:
Games, Tractor Cruises, Tractor Parade, Displays, the Kiddie Tractor Pull, Demonstrations, Swap Meet, Great Food, Door Prizes, Raffles, Dice Run, and new and used vendors will be onsite.
PARADE ROUTE
The Parade will begin at 1:30 pm Saturday. It will start on North Main St. and head north, turning right on Church St. down to Mine LaMotte. The parade will then turn right on South Mine La Motte. (going along the back of the park). It travels right up East Main and turns right; towards the Court House. The parade continues around Court House back to North Main on its way back to the park.
Feel free to sit along the route to watch the amazing line of tractors, maybe a few decorated wagons with a little candy for the little ones. For an excellent view of the “Parade Of Power” you may want to watch safely from Church St., East Main and the North side of the Court House.
KIDDIE TRACTOR PULL, Will be on Saturday morning at 11:30. A prize for each winner and ribbons for all entries. Ages 3-8 who can drive the tractor.
TRACTOR CRUISES, Friday at 1 pm the Fabulous Farmalls will head out to “cruise” by the Elementary School for the KG – 2nd graders.
DICE RUN, new this year. This fun event will give riders a chance to see town while stopping by 5 local “pit stops” where they will roll dice for points and have an opportunity to browse, shop, rest, and get refreshments.
