Accident injures two
A Desloge woman and a Bonne Terre man received moderate injuries Monday when their 1999 Mercury Sable struck a 2006 Dodge Caravan that was trying to cross U.S. 67 in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Joshua P. Odenthal, 20, was southbound on U.S. 67 in the Mercury at 8:55 a.m. when James J. Gramlich, 36, of De Soto, was eastbound on Flucom Road and tried to cross the highway in the Dodge.
Odenthal and passenger Aleyce B. Ashbrook, 19, were taken by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Both had been wearing seat belts. No injuries were listed for Gramlich, who also had been wearing a seat belt.
Damage to the Mercury was listed as extensive and damage to the Dodge was listed as total.
