Mrs. Norma Patience ‘Green’ Johnson
Mrs. Norma Patience ‘Green’ Johnson, 85, died November 4,2010,
at her Delmar Gardens residence in O’Fallon, Missouri. She was born on May 2, 1925, in
Marquand, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Clair Green and Sally Jane (Mills) Green. Also preceding her in death were: her husband, Raymond Allen Johnson (1996); one sister, Virginia Thomure and two brothers: Jesse Brittan Green, and Norvell James Green (June 2010).
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Union Light Congregational Methodist Church of Bollinger County, Missouri, and active in the Libertyville United Methodist Church and Christian Women’s Club. She enjoyed serving others by knitting hats for cancer victims and preemie babies and also knitting prayer shawls. Norma was an avid supporter of Breast Cancer Research.
Survivors Include: her son, Michael Johnson, of O’Fallon, Missouri; One sister, Mary Pearl Bohs of Farmington. Four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held November 9, 2010 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, with the Reverend Noel Stevens officiating. Burial was at the Union Light Cemetery in Bollinger County, Missouri.
