Vehicle strikes embankment, injures man

A Farmington man received moderate injuries Wednesday when his 1995 Ford F150 struck an embankment in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Richard A. Rawson, 50, was westbound on Route AA at 12:15 p.m. when he steered to the right to avoid a vehicle that traveled across the center line. The truck traveled off the right side of the road and struck an embankment, .4 mile west of Route H.

Rawson, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center. Damage to the truck was listed as total.

A Bonne Terre man received moderate injuries Tuesday when his 1995 Chrysler Sebring overturned in St. Francois County.

According to Highway Patrol reports, Shawn A. Wagner, 48, was northbound on Old Cadet Road at 3:30 p.m. when his vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a bridge abutment and overturned into a creek, 1 mile south of Highway 47.

Wagner, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by private conveyance to Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre. Damage to the vehicle was listed as total. 

A Middlebrook man received minor injuries Tuesday when his 2010 Ford Fusion collided with a 2002 Ford Excursion in St. Francois County.

According to the Highway Patrol, Patrick L. Ames, 33, was northbound on Missouri 221 in the Ford Fusion at 1:15 p.m. when the southbound Excursion turned left in front of his car at Route NN. The front of Ames’ car struck the passenger side of the Excursion, driven by Timothy B. Glore, 30, of Farmington.

Ames was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center. No injuries were listed for Glore. Both men had been wearing seat belts.

Damage to each vehicle was listed as total
