Warriors finish sixth at Chester tourney

CHESTER, Ill — Valle Catholic committed 27 turnovers and fell 51-35 to Marissa-Coulterville on Saturday in the Chester Invitational Tournament fifth-place game.

Garrett Koch scored a game-high 14 points and Ryan Hermann added eight for Valle (6-5), which made just 1-of-12 shot attempts from beyond the arc.

Joey Martin tallied 13 points in the victory for the Meteors (3-10). Marissa-Coulterville never trailed following a 9-2 opening run.
