Alfred ‘Bud’ Thompson

FARMINGTON — Alfred ‘Bud’ Thompson, of Farmington passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, being 80 years of age. He was born June 25, 1930 in Esther, Mo. 

Preceded in death by parents, Alfred Thompson and Gertie Marler Thompson. Preceded in death by sisters: Betty Jane Swanguarim, Virginia Mead, Helen Swanguarim, Dorothy Edmond. Preceded in death by brothers: Jim and Bob Thompson. 

Survived by his wife: Kathrine Parker Thompson of Ste. Genevieve, Mo. One Son: Brent and wife Amanda Thompson of Park Hills, Mo. One Daughter: Missy and husband Paul Belken of Festus, Mo. Three Grandchildren: Sheena Graves, Tanner Thompson, Cory Belken. Sisters: Glenda Mullins of Perryville, Mo., Ruby and husband Sonny Thompson of Farmington, Mo., Janet Whellis of Springfield, Mo.; Brother: William ‘Bill’ and wife Geri Thompson of Fenton, Mo. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation Saturday, January 29, 2011 after 5:30 p.m. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home. Funeral Service: Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Webb. Burial at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery.
