Alden Glen ‘Springtime’” Stevens

PARK HILLS — Alden Glen “Springtime” Stevens of Farmington, Missouri, was born in Belgrade, Missouri on December 5, 1934, to the late Raymond and Vada Jarvis Stevens. He departed this life in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 31, 2011, at the age of  76 Years, 1 Month, 26 Days.

He was united in marriage to Verneal Middleton Stevens. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2001. He was also preceded by four brothers and two sisters.

Survived by: Children, Glenda M. Stevens, Anita L. and husband Danny Marcy, Sharon G. and husband Preston Douglas, and Connie L. and husband Donald Lawson; brothers, Robert and Joe Stevens; sister, Carol Hamill; four grandsons, two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren; devoted friends, Susan and Chris Crannell, and Amos and Dottie McCall; nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Springtime’s love and ability to play his steel guitar is second only for his love of god, family and friends.
