MAAA Tourney rescheduled to start tonight

PARK HILLS — After being snowed out for Saturday’s start, the MAAA Conference Tourney is now scheduled to begin tonight, but with different times and venues (see sidebar next page for complete listings). Scheduled to be played during the day in an eight-game time-block on Saturday, the opening round games are now all relegated to after-school hours.

To accommodate the time change, the boys and girls games have been separated to different places. The boys first-round games will start at 4 p.m. this evening at Mineral Area College, and the girls first-round games will start at the same time at Bismarck High School. There will be four games played at both places in order to conclude the opening round games tonight.

The entire quarter-final rounds will take place on Tuesday with the boys switching venue to Central’s Foulon Fieldhouse, and the girls playing at MAC. Again, four games will be played at both places. If Monday and Tuesday’s games go off without a hitch, the tournament will be back on schedule for the rest of the week with the championship games to be played on Saturday.
