Raiders rule mats over Rebels for 69-37 win
BONNE TERRE — The North County Raiders collected 24 points due to the Central Rebels being open at four weight classes, but the Raiders did not need them as they recorded six falls in winning eight of the 10 matches that were wrestled for a 69-37 dual win.
The Rebels won two matches total. Richard House pinned Sean Ives in the 103 pound match with a time of 3:50, and Matt Moss posted a 15-9 decision over Jake Jarvis at 119.
Garrett Arnold (112) picked up North County’s first points with a fall of Dillon Ball in 3:11. Jayden Odle (125) started a string of 11 straight matches for the Raiders with a 7-2 decision over Mike Clark. Jordan Jarvis (130) and Corey McHenry (135) both won by forfeit.
Brad AuBuchon (140) won by fall in 2:26 over Kye Jackson. Ryan Whitwell (145) took only 1:11 to pin Bryan Rausch, Zach Revelle (152) won a 17-4 major decision over Garrett Hagerty and Nick Jeffries (160) received an open.
Todd White (171) used only 28 seconds of the second period to record a fall over Matt Streckfuss, and Eric Erchien (189) picked up North County’s last open for his win.
Mike Stokes (215) took only 27 seconds to pin Tyler Messer, and Dilyn Pipkin (285) used only two seconds more for his fall of Justin McWilliams.
Both teams will be in district tournaments this Friday and Saturday with Central going to De Soto and North County to wrestle at Farmington.
