Medical Providers Meet

The Madison County Medical Providers of Beyer Medical Group, Madison Medical Center and Rural Health Clinic, Dr. Martha McGraw and the Madison County Health Department attended a professional development seminar sponsored by Sanofi Pasteur Company. The event was held Monday, February 28, 2011 at Madison Medical Center.

The seminar focused on the High-Dose Influenza Vaccine that was released last year for persons age 65 years and older. The new vaccine has shown increased immunity rates in this age group.

Following the presentation, the physicians agreed the new influenza vaccine should be made available for citizens this fall. More information on the specifics of this vaccine availability will be presented to the public this fall prior to influenza vaccine implementations.
