Public input sought on Farmington Comprehensive Plan

The city of Farmington has released draft updates and amendments to the comprehensive plan. A public hearing regarding the changes and amendments will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Long Memorial Hall.

The draft comprehensive plan is available online at, or may be reviewed at the Farmington Public Library. For the past several months nearly a dozen committees made up of city council members, city officials and citizens have worked to recommend goals and strategies to help guide the community into the future.

A final draft of the plan, including changes stemming from the public participation process, will be submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission for adoption on May 5.
