Lester O. “Blackie” Maize

VIBURNUM — Lester O. “Blackie” Maize passed away March 17, 2011, in Viburnum at the age of 78 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Maize, Cherryville; four children, Rick Maize and wife, Tammy, Kansas City, Kan.; Anita Maize and friend, Kim Clark, Poplar Bluff; Vicky Meier and husband, Gary, Kansas City; and Marty Maize and wife, Kim, Viburnum; four stepchildren, Danny Huffman and wife, Tammy, Stephensville, Texas; J.R. Woodall and wife, Cindy, Davisville; Troy Woodall and wife, Laura, Steelville; and Beth Griner and husband, Michael, Toccoa, Ga.; five brothers, Dick Maize and wife, Bert, Lesterville; Lloyd Maize and wife, Marge, Bonne Terre; Ernie Maize and wife, Jenny, Lesterville; Jack Maize and wife, Panzy, Park Hills; and James Maize and wife, Theresa, Farmington; three sisters, Ethel Lay, Ellington; Patt Fann and husband, Richard, Ellsinore; and Jerry Martin and friend, Hobie, Lesterville; six grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services with full Military Honors were held March 20, 2011, at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Viburnum.
