Tilman H. “”Toots”” Gallagher

PARK HILLS — Tilman Howard Gallagher was born March 28, 1918 and passed away March 13, 2011 at Missouri Baptist at age 92. Preceding him in death were his parents Josh and Maude Gallagher, wife Erma (Wiley) Gallagher, brother Leeman J. Gallagher,and wife Ruth Gallagher, sisterDorothy (Gallagher) Valle and brothers-in-Iaws Tom Valle, Homer Wiley, Donald Wiley and wife Melba, Willard (Bill) Govro, and Willis Hulsey.

He is survived by daughter Jayne McLeod and son-in-law Gary McLeod of Farmington, Grandson Michael McLeod of Lawrence,KS, Granddaughter Jennifer Kassebaum and Husband Bill Kassebaum of Burdick, KS, greatgranddaughters Theo and Nellie Kassebaum, Burdick, KS. Also surviving are five sisters-in-Iaws, Nellie Wiley, LaVerne Hulsey, Barbara Govro, Marilyn Wiley and Jetty (Mrs.Lloyd) Reese, brother-in-law Pete Wiley and his wife Mildred, and sister-in-law Doris Wiley. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Toots was well known in the Lead belt area through his many years as an employee of Golman’s Department store.

Visitation was Wednesday, March16, and the funeral service was held Thursday, March 17, under the direction of Horton-Wampler Funeral Home, Evangelist Bernie Crum of Flat River Church of Christ presiding. Burial was at Parkview Cemetery.
