Three identified in plane crash in Madison County

Ironton – The passengers who were traveling in a small plane that crashed in Madison County, near Ironton, and was discovered Friday night have been identified.

Remains of pilot Lyle Anthony Fettig, 61, of Wisconsin, and passengers Violet Badagliacco, 52, of Illinois, and Eunyoung Reneau, 55, of Wisconsin, were identified Saturday by the Madison County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner Chris Follis said the three died from the impact of the crash and that there was a small fire when the aircraft hit the ground.

Officials with the Civil Air Patrol said Saturday in a news release that the plane had been missing since March 27 after leaving Arkansas.

It is believed that the three were traveling to Wisconsin from Florida.

Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation.
