FARMINGTON — A rural Farmington man has admitted to sexually abusing a child.
On Friday, Circuit Court Judge Kenneth W. Pratte sentenced Steven A. Wade Jr., 22, of Farmington, to eight years in prison for first-degree child molestation.
Wade admitted to touching a juvenile’s breast in 2008.
Wade had originally been charged with first-degree statutory sodomy-deviate sexual intercourse for engaging in sexual activity with a child younger than 12.
Wade pleaded guilty to misdemeanor second-degree child molestation in Ste. Genevieve County in February and was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
In an unrelated case, Cassie Crump, 28, of Leadwood, was placed on five years of supervised probation for possession of a chemical with intent to make meth and possession of meth.
