City officials following up on storm damage

City officials want to discuss any storm damage or related issues experienced in recent weeks.

State Emergency Management Agency officials will be in town within the next few weeks to survey the flood damage starting with the April 22 event.

Dan Duncan, local emergency management director, said residents should document damage with photographs if at all possible. He can be contacted by email at daduncan@farmington-mo.gov. Be sure to include a name, address and phone number in the correspondence.

Anyone who does not have access to email can contact Duncan at the Farmington Police Department at 756-6686 and leave contact information.

Additionally, the city will assist residents with disposal of debris resulting from storm damage beginning today.

Residents with damaged carpet, furniture or other building materials may contact the Public Works Department at 756-0608 to schedule a pick-up time.

All debris must be placed on the curb prior to the scheduled day of collection.

Debris pick-up will be offered by the city through Friday. No collections will be done after Friday.
