Bridge work prompts temporary changes to ambulance coverage
Route D is expected to be closed at the Saline Creek Bridge until sometime in June.
The Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois county ambulance districts will work together to make sure residents are not adversely affected.
The Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District will be covering Route Y up to its intersection with Route D if there is no ambulance available from the St. Francois County Ambulance District House in Bonne Terre. This includes the Goose Creek Lake development area.
St. Francois County Ambulance District will be covering all homes located in the address range of 16339 to 15085 Route D. They will also be covering 1735 Westover Road, all of Smith Road, and all of Route JJ to its intersection with Turley School Road.
The list may not be all-inclusive as both districts with respond to emergency calls as needed per already existing mutual aid agreements.
Both Ambulance Districts will continuously monitor the situation to insure residents in the area receive timely and prompt emergency medical response.
