U.S. Cellular offers free device workshop

With a recent study showing a nearly 80 percent increase in smartphone shipments from a year ago, there are plenty of first-time smartphone users who may want a little help figuring out everything their advanced phones have to offer. U.S. Cellular hosted free workshops on April 22 and 23 in Desloge to guide attendees through all of the functions and features of Android-powered devices, BlackBerry and Windows smartphones. All questions are welcome from current and potential smartphone users, and the workshop will cover both basic and advanced uses.

Associates will answer questions and demonstrate common features such as e-mail access, web browsing, calendar synchronization and browsing for apps. Attendees can also learn how U.S. Cellular’s high-speed nationwide network can boost their smartphone experience. U.S. Cellular has the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any national carrier.*

“Device Workshops are great for new smartphone owners or anyone who wants to make sure they are getting the most out of their handsets. Our associates enjoy helping customers personalize their devices to fit their lifestyles,” said Kristen Filkins, store manager for U.S. Cellular.

The Device Workshops are open to current smartphone owners and anyone interested in upgrading to a smartphone. Attendees do not have to be U.S. Cellular customer.

The Device Workshop is being offered each month at U.S. Cellular retail stores across Missouri. The next device workshops are scheduled for May 13 and 14 from 9–11 a.m. at the Desloge location.
