Water park open for season

With summer comes fun in the sun, and nothing makes summer fun enjoyable like time spent in the water. Farmington Water Park opened for the season this past weekend.

Throughout the summer months the park will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. A daily pass for youth (ages 11 and under) is $6, adult passes (ages 12 and over) are $7.50, and seniors (ages 62 and over) can get in for $6.

After 4 p.m. the cost will be: youth (ages 11 and under) $4.75; Adults (ages 12 and over) $6; and Seniors (ages 62 and over) $4.75.

Anyone intending to visit a few times this season can take advantage of a season pass. Cost for the passes are: Youth (ages 11 and under) $57; Adults (ages 12 and over) $72.50; Family $198 (Must be purchased a minimum of 24-hours in advance). A family pass includes husband, wife and all legal dependents as defined by the IRS. Proof of dependency may be required.

Current civic center passholders are eligible to save even more. Call for special rates.

A new feature this summer is monthly family nights. The tentative dates for family nights are June 10, July 1, July 22 and Aug. 12. Rates for the evenings are as follows: Youth (age 11 and under) $3; Adults (age 12 and over) $4; and Family $12.

Another special feature this summer will be Dollar Day on Aug. 16. Children will only pay $1, while adults can pay $2 and swim.

The water park is available for birthday parties. With a pre-scheduled party rental, guests can arrived at the designated time and then stay and play all day. A reservation includes two hours of reserved patio time, and food including options of pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drinks and dessert.
