Inmate dies at FCC

On Saturday an inmate at Farmington Correctional Center died of apparent natural causes.

Elvis Shands, 66, was pronounced dead at the prison at 4:10 p.m. He went into the state prison system on Aug. 10,2001.

He was serving a 25 year sentence for first degree Statutory Sodomy stemming from a charge in Mississippi County.
