City Council postpones meeting

The Fredericktown City Council had work session and Full Council meetings scheduled for Monday, July 11, but the council did not have a quorum.

Ward III aldermen Micah Reutzel and D.J. McFadden and Ward I alderman Paul Brown were absent from both the work session and the Full Council meetings.

Agenda items and presentations  from the July 11 work session and council meeting, have been moved to the next council meetings, which are  scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., Monday, July 25.

At 5:30 p.m., Monday, Mayor Mark Tripp did open the public meeting regarding re-zoning changes. Gabe Swinford discussed the rezoning of an area by the former food pantry building on Chamber Dr. Currently, the area is zoned C-2 (Commercial). Swinford said he would like the council to consider the area for R-3 multi-housing residential zoning. The aldermen could not take any formal action at this public meeting. Tripp closed the public meeting at 6 p.m.

Council adjourned at 6:30 p.m. for lack of a quorum.
