Vehicle strikes tree, man injured

A Farmington man received minor injuries Saturday when  the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier in which he was riding struck a tree in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Brandi D. Taylor, 20, of Park Hills was eastbound on Cedar Run Road at 12:05 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a right turn. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck the tree, .4 mile east of Evanko Road.

Passenger Nicholas P. Parrott, 22, was taken by ambulance to Parkland Heath Center. No injuries were listed for Taylor.

Damage to the vehicle was listed as total.
